As the opening term of the school year finishes ahead of the Christmas Holidays, LSBU Active will be hosting a School Sports Day as part of our enrichment opportunities with students from South Bank University Academy (SBUA) to take part and lead on their own coaching sessions as part of their extra-curricular offer. The aim of the programme is to host a sports day for SBUA students to teach primary schools local to Southwark before the Christmas Holidays begin.

The project has also been invaluable to our Sports Ambassador Scheme with our student-staff who have lead the way hosting seminars and practical coaching workshops with students in preparation before the sports festival. We’re delighted to partner with a variety of schools and showcase to school pupils what it’s like at a London university. Our Sports Ambassadors have taken invaluable professional development experiences from the scheme which we hope can build their portfolio as they continue their studies and career prospects.
