LSBU cheerleading team competed in British Cheerleading Association University Nationals competition
On Sunday 12 March, the LSBU cheerleading team competed in the British Cheerleading Association University Nationals competition.
One of the team members, Gee-oh Ho (student in the LSBU Business School and Sports Ambassador) said: “I am extremely proud of our cheer team as it was the first time for most of us even doing cheer, let alone performing a fresh routine in front of hundreds of people. It took a lot of commitment and courage, and we were able to perform the stunts with no errors”.
The LSBU cheerleading team has 22 members, and 19 students were involved in the competition. It’s an open and inclusive team for students of all abilities and brings students together in an exciting and growing sport at LSBU. They train twice a week in the new LSBU Active facilities with a fantastic coach to support their development and have received brand new training and competition kit this year.
